Travel Vaccinations - update 10.8.2017
The practice has been advised by Public Health England that there is a global shortage of some vaccines being requested by patients travelling abroad.
Hepatitis A & B &Typhoid
The practice currently has no stock and is unable to order any.
We are advised that some travel clinics and local pharmacies have limited stock. Please contact them directly for further information re stock and cost.

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you need to complete the Travel Health questionnaire below and forward to the practice, once the questionnaire has been processed you can make an appointment with the practice nurse to discuss your travel arrangements and the vaccination schedule required. Please complete all boxes and include all countries and areas within countries that you are visiting to determine what vaccinations are required.
There is further information about countries and vaccinations required on the links below
It is important to commence your schedule of immunisations at least 8 weeks before you travel - as often a series of appointments will be required with the practice nurse to actually receive the vaccinations. Some vaccines have to be ordered as they are not a stock vaccine. It is important that vaccinations are given at least 2 weeks before you travel to allow the vaccines to work.
Some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription and these incur a charge over and above the normal prescription charge. This is because not all travel vaccinations are included in the services provided by the NHS.
